What's been happening at ELF?
This past month has been such an exciting time. We have had quite a few visitors and new children joining ELF, and the children have welcomed them and helped them feel like they belong. We now have 5 volunteers too!
Eggs and Easter. We explored different ways of decorating eggs, created Easter suncatchers, and investigated how to protect an egg from breaking and the speed of eggs down a slope.
Signs of Spring. We solved wordsearches, identified signs of Spring on a local walk and used old boxes to make homes for birds, butterflies and bugs.
Basketball and team games. The new basketball has prompted lots of tournaments to see who can score the most hoops! The children have also designed different games to play.
On Thursday 2nd April we had a visit from the Mayor of Gedling, Kyle Robinson-Payne. He was very impressed by our learning provision and commented on how happy the children were and how much learning was happening. We even got him to join in with the basketball! We are very grateful that he is going to support ELF.
Our next theme: Springtime and growth.
